    The mrkA polyclonal antibody is produced by injecting rabbits with the recombinant Klebsiella pneumoniae Fimbrial subunit type 3 protein (23-202aa), which serves as the immunogen. The rabbits then produce antibodies against the Klebsiella pneumoniae Fimbrial subunit type 3 protein. These antibodies are purified from the rabbit serum using protein G purification. The purity is 95%+. The resulting purified rabbit anti-Klebsiella pneumoniae mrkA polyclonal antibody is highly specific to Klebsiella pneumoniae mrkA and has a high affinity for the antigen. This mrkA antibody is suitable for use in ELISA.

    The MrkA protein, a fimbrial subunit protein produced by Klebsiella pneumoniae, is mainly involved in the formation of fimbriae on the surface of K. pneumoniae, which are critical for the attachment to host tissues, biofilm formation, and the pathogenesis of K. pneumoniae infections. It also plays a role in the expression regulation of genes involved in fimbriae biogenesis and other virulence factors through phase variation.
